At Frangipani House we offer alternative approaches to traditional Counselling Methods that emphasise the interrelationship between mind, body, and spirit. Art, Dance and Relaxation Therapy can play an important role in recovery and healing.

Dance-Movement Therapy

Helps people gain a sense of release and inner peace - their spirits soar when they let their feet and body move. Emotions that we 'hold' physically in our bodies can be expressed with other ways Those who are recovering from physical, sexual, or emotional abuse may find these techniques especially helpful for gaining a sense of ease with their own bodies. The underlying premise to dance/movement therapy is that it can help a person integrate the emotional, physical, and cognitive facets of "self."
